Eliane Kotler


 

Eliane Kotler (Prof. Dr.) is full professor at the Faculty of Arts of Nice (FR.). She helds a PhD from Lyon II university (1988) and has been awarded by an HDR (right to supervise thesis) in 1994. She teaches French Language in a diachronic approach. Her field of research concentrates on the XVIth century. Between 1998 and 2013 she was a member of the board at the Faculty of Arts and a vice Dean of this Faculty (1998- 2002). Between 2001 and 2012 as a member of the Academic council of the University of Nice and Vice Rector for Education and Students affairs (2005-2012) she developped and expanded the use of ECTS and DS. She was head of the continuing education department (2011-2013) and Vice President of the National Conference of Heads of continuing education (2012-2014). In this regard she has been involved in the implementation of RPL. As a Bologna Expert (2011 -2013) she organized 2 main seminars, « success at Bachelor degree level » and « Recognition of Prior Learning » and was an expert for labels ECTS and DS. Then she was a team member for the revision of the ECTS users' guide (approved at the Yerevan Conference 2015). In view of the incoming Bologna ministry conference which will be held in Paris (2018) she is currently a member of the Advisory Group « non implementation ». As an expert for the AERES (External Quality Assurance Evaluation Agency) she was committed in the evaluation of about 10 French universities between 2008 and 2013. She is presently member of the board at the HCERES (High Council for Education and Research in Higher Education, which has taken over from the AERES) and member of the accreditation committee for foreign institutions. Her foreign language level is C1 in English and Italian.
