Sibel AKSU YILDIRIM


 

Prof. Sibel Aksu Yıldırım is professor at the Hacettepe University, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. She served as dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences between 2014- 2016. She is teaching and supervising neurological physiotherapy and rehabilitation at the postgraduate and undergraduate levels. Her main expertise areas are neurodevelopmental therapy (Bobath concept), technological devices and robotics, gait and balance rehabilitation, motor learning, neuromuscular treatment strategies, clinical problem solving and evidence based practice in adult neurological rehabilitation. Since ten years she has worked for the implementation of the Bologna Process especially in the ECTS and curriculum development studies at the University. She also worked as an Erasmus Institutional Coordinator of the Hacettepe University for two years. She was the researcher of the HEGESCO (Higher Education as a Generator of Strategic Competencies) and DEHEMS (Network for the Development of Higher Education Management System) projects under the EU Lifelong Learning Program. She also worked as a researcher in the projects entitled "Evidence Based Practice Education in Physiotherapy Schools and Establishment of a National Network", and "Total Quality Management in Institutional Care of Elderly Persons". She is currently working for the projects in "Implementation of the Bologna Process at the Hacettepe University". Professor Yıldırım is a member of Higher Education Quality Council and Honorary Chair of the National Health Sciences' Deans Council. She is currently serving as Member at Higher Education Quality Board. Her foreign language is B2 level in English in addition to drafting and presentation skills.
